When I first saw the Forex Atlantis website, I became so intrigued about this software! I love automated trading and the results shown on the page were very promising.
Except for the screenshots of the trades, I saw 5 7-year backtesting reports! Really impressive!
Of course, in a lot of cases backtesting shows results far from real. However, I downloaded the reports, carefully examined them and came to a conclusion that they were 100% genuine. So I decided to give it a try and purchased a life-time license.
My experience with Forex Atlantis EA
When I purchased the software, I was thrilled to start to say the least! But I had to wait a few hours for an activation!
I decided not to get upset and to check the promised 24/7 customer support. I emailed at support@altraforex.com in order to ask to activate my demo account. I received a reply within 40 minutes: Daria Murphy confirmed that it was successfully activated. Big plus for fast and helpful reply, but I really would prefer an instant activation.
So I put Forex Atlantis EA onto the chart willing to set up its automatic trades but only saw an infoboard that said “Trading Time: Not Active”. Disappointed again but still eager to start, I turned to the user manual to find the instructions.
It turned out that the EA works only during specific hours, trading period is 4 hours by default but can be extended up to 6 hours. The restriction is not bad providing that the robot brings good profit, right?
I set up the inputs according to the user guide and waited for the trading time to start. Oh, it is also worth mentioning here that there is another restriction. The EA works only on the following pairs: EUR/CHF, EUR/GBP, GBP/USD, AUD/CAD and EUR/AUD.
It isn’t a big problem for me because I don’t have life-time favorites, I usually just choose the major pairs to test out the software’s performance.
My Results with Forex Atlantis EA
For the first day of trading I decided to go for all 5 working pairs and default settings. My first trading session brought me $15 of profit (1.00 lot size, 1:100 leverage) which is not bad actually. The next two days ended up breaking even. There were 3-6 profitable trades on each pair, but then one big loss wiped out all the gained profit.
I decided to ask the Support for any recommendations and Daria Murphy advised me to change the input “Optimal Mode” to “false” in order to avoid big losses. I did that and it really helped. However, I wouldn’t say that the overall results became much better. I still had most of the days ended up even. Some days were closed with profit, but there were days with losses as well. After a full month of testing I had +2.5% to my demo account balance.
Of course, any profit is a good result, but I know systems that are more effective. In addition to this, I didn’t like the idea of restrictions and unpredictable results of the trading sessions. So, I asked Oliver Murphy for a refund and received it in full.

Have you tried maybe testing Atlantis EA during other trading sessions? Will it be less profitable? Or will it not work at all if you put other hours in the settings?
Thank you for your question! It will work, however, the results will be far less good. As I understand it, the algorithm is designed for a very strict time window.
how much time it was for you to get your money back? did you get taxes included back?
